Anne Takes Charge
In 1988, Anne Gros took over Domaine François Gros after her father's health declined. Most of the wine was sold in bulk, and her father doubted her capability as a woman. Anne took charge and has continued alone since 1995. The estate's later range includes Burgundy reds, Crémant de Bourgogne, and La Ciaude, a Minervois red made in partnership with Jean-Paul Tollot. The takeover placed the family estate in Anne's hands while bulk sales still shaped its output.
