The 2013 Crop Declassified
In 2013, difficult conditions in Bordeaux reached Château Rocheyron. Silvio Denz and Peter Sisseck declassified the entire crop, and the estate made no wine from that vintage. Declassification removes a harvest from the château's named wine, so the choice appears as an absent vintage instead of a reduced release. At Rocheyron, the action covered the whole crop. No selected portion was bottled under the Château Rocheyron name. The 2013 vintage therefore contains no Château Rocheyron wine, a direct consequence of one harvest decision.
