The story
The 2017 US Launch
In August 2017, Château de Chausse entered the United States through an introductory launch in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Solstars Inc. was the importer named for the launch. Charles S. Cohen and his wife had purchased the property in 2016, after Yves and Roseline Schelcher founded it in 1990. The first phase was limited to those three states, giving the launch a defined Northeast focus for the estate's Côtes de Provence rosé, red and white wines from La Croix-Valmer.

Château de Chausse lies nine miles south of St. Tropez in La Croix-Valmer, within the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Its vineyards have sandy clay and schist soils. Côtes de Provence is the appellation carried by its rosé, red and white wines, so one regional name spans the full colour range.
Wines
Château de Chausse Rosé is made from Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah. The 2023 vintage produced 40,000 bottles. Château de Chausse Red is a 2018 Côtes de Provence red. Château de Chausse White is the white wine in the range, while the 2019 white was made entirely from Rolle.
The white wine shows a limpid, brilliant appearance, with white flowers, acacia and peach on the nose. Fine acidity leads into a fresh, long palate with harmonious citrus tones.
