The producer
Champagne Robert Allait is a five-generation family Champagne producer at 6, rue du Parc in Villers-sous-Châtillon, in the Marne Valley. Stéphanie and Aurélien manage the current generation with support from Régis and Sylvie. The range moves from a pink Brut Cuvée Rosé made from 50% Meunier, 40% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir to Pinot Chromie, Cuvée Trilo'j 2019 and a separate white Prestige cuvée.
Start with Cuvée Trilo'j 2019, an equal-thirds blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Pale gold, delicately roasted and marked by mirabelle, peach and brioche, it shows how the house moves from fruit toward a lingering finish while keeping the blend easy to follow.

Champagne Robert Allait
At A Glance
Champagne Robert Allait is a five-generation family producer in Villers-sous-Châtillon, in the Marne Valley. Stéphanie and Aurélien manage the current generation with support from Régis and Sylvie. The bottles move from the strawberry and raspberry lift of a Meunier-led rosé to the yellow fruit of Pinot Chromie, the equal-thirds Cuvée Trilo'j 2019, and a crunchy, full-bodied Prestige cuvée.
The Producer
At 6, rue du Parc, Champagne Robert Allait runs a family operation established in Villers-sous-Châtillon for five generations. Stéphanie and her husband Aurélien now manage the estate, supported by Régis and Sylvie. The names matter because the range is presented as a working family house, with several distinct cuvées carrying different blends, colours and stages of cellar development.
The producer's range does not reduce Champagne to one house style. Brut Cuvée Rosé puts Meunier at the centre of a three-grape blend, Pinot Chromie turns toward yellow fruit and caramel, and Cuvée Trilo'j 2019 gives all three principal grapes an equal share.
Place
Champagne is the regional home, the Marne Valley the subregional frame, and Villers-sous-Châtillon the village address. That geography places the wines inside a specific Champagne setting, while the labels distinguish themselves through grape proportion, colour, vintage and cellar treatment. The place is consistent; the bottle choices create the variation.
Soil And Site
The estate's address is precise, but no soil, slope or parcel description accompanies it. The wines offer their clearest physical clues through colour and texture: coppery rosé, brown-gold Pinot Chromie, pale-gold Trilo'j and a full-bodied Prestige cuvée. Site remains a factual village and valley location here, while the bottles carry the sensory detail.
Story
The house has moved through five generations without leaving Villers-sous-Châtillon. Régis and Sylvie belong to the generation that carried the operation forward, and Stéphanie and Aurélien now manage it with their support. The change places a family handover beside a range that continues to widen its points of reference, from a Meunier-led rosé to an equal-thirds blend and a fuller white Prestige cuvée.
Vineyards And Cellar
Champagne Robert Allait holds Haute Valeur Environnementale certification. The property also opens its working spaces to visitors, who can move through the vat room, see both manual and gyropalette riddling, enter the bottle-ageing cellar and finish with a tasting. The sequence follows the wine from cellar equipment to finished bottle, with riddling shown in two distinct forms before the wines are poured.
Wines
Brut Cuvée Rosé is the blend-led bottle in the range, made from 50% Meunier, 40% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. Its pink colour carries intense coppery reflections, and the palate is straightforward, intense and acidulous, with strawberry and raspberry notes. The high Meunier proportion gives the cuvée a clear fruit-led role within the line-up.
Pinot Chromie shifts the range toward a Pinot-focused expression without a confirmed grape percentage. It is clear and brilliant, with a brown-gold hue and slight golden reflections. Yellow fruit, almond and caramel appear on the nose, followed by vine peach, yellow plum and a small caramel note on the lively palate.
Cuvée Trilo'j 2019 is the compositional counterpoint, combining Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in equal thirds. Its pale-gold colour is limpid and brilliant. Delicately roasted aromas lead into mirabelle and peach, then a brioche note arrives on the finish, which lingers with an indulgent, complex feel.
The white Prestige cuvée is a separate bottle from the rosé expressions. Its documented blend is 50% Pinot Meunier, 35% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir, with three years of lees ageing and no malolactic fermentation. In the mouth it is crunchy, generous and full-bodied, with subtle raspberry notes.
In The Glass
The range opens with colour before the first sip: copper in the Rosé, brown gold in Pinot Chromie, pale gold in Trilo'j and a deeper impression in the Prestige cuvée. Those visual differences prepare four different sequences.
The Rosé moves quickly from red berry aromas into acidulous freshness, with strawberry and raspberry giving the palate a direct, intense line. Pinot Chromie is softer in register, beginning with yellow fruit and delicate almond, then filling out with vine peach, yellow plum and caramel. Trilo'j brings roasted notes first, fruit in the middle and brioche at the end, so its finish carries the longest aftertaste among the documented cuvées. Prestige closes the range with a broader, crunchy mouthfeel, generous weight and a restrained raspberry note.
A Bottle To Understand It
Start with Cuvée Trilo'j 2019. Its equal-thirds blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier makes the bottle's composition easy to follow, while the pale-gold colour, delicate roasted aroma, mirabelle, peach and brioche finish give each stage of the tasting a distinct marker. The lingering finish adds length without hiding the fruit. It is a useful first bottle because the three-grape blend and the wine's movement from fruit to toast can be followed in the same glass.
Anecdote
In 1981, Sylvie and Régis Robert took over the family operation in Villers-sous-Châtillon. The family had already worked from the village for several generations, and the address remained 6, rue du Parc. Years later, their daughter Stéphanie and son-in-law Aurélien stepped into the current management. Régis and Sylvie stayed involved as support, keeping the handover visible in the way the operation is run today. Visitors can still walk through the vat room, watch manual and gyropalette riddling, enter the bottle-ageing cellar and finish with a tasting. A family business changed hands, then changed hands again, while the village address stayed the same.
Final Word
Champagne Robert Allait gives Villers-sous-Châtillon a family-shaped range with four distinct readings: fruit-led rosé, yellow-fruited Pinot Chromie, equal-thirds Trilo'j and full-bodied Prestige. Cuvée Trilo'j 2019 is the natural first pour, with enough blend detail and tasting movement to make the house immediately legible.
