The story
From Grapes To Wine
In 1735, Jean Mandois became a grape grower in what is now the Côte des Blancs region. In 1867, his great-grandson Victor Mandois began vinifying and commercialising wines. The family work changed from growing grapes to making and selling wine under its own name. Jean's date marks the beginning of the grape growing line, while Victor's marks the move into commercial production and sales. Both changes happened within the same family line. Claude Mandois now leads the ninth generation of the family.
