Jean François Founds the House
In 1956, Jean François founded the house in Venteuil, in the Marne Valley. The family continued to work the vineyards and harvest the grapes themselves, then vinify, raise, bottle and market the wines. That full chain remains in family hands across three generations. The vineyard includes Arbane, Petit Meslier and Pinot Gris alongside Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, giving the house a place for grape varieties that had nearly disappeared from Champagne. The house still handles the work itself from vineyard to bottle.
