Delphine's Clos Petition
In 1995, Delphine petitioned the CIVC to have the family vineyard officially designated a Clos. The petition succeeded, and Clos Cazals received its official designation in Champagne. The parcel is a walled Grand Cru vineyard in Oger, and Olivier Cazals, Delphine's grandfather, had acquired it before the petition. It is planted entirely with Chardonnay. The vineyard has never used insecticides. The designation put a formal classification on one enclosed parcel in Oger, giving the family estate a named Clos in Champagne.
