Queen Jeanne built the cellar in Arbois. The room is the only one in Arbois built in the Gothic style and is designated a Historic Monument. It is still used as a working winery, with wine stored in Gothic stone vaults. Cave de la Reine Jeanne makes Crémant du Jura Blanc Extra Brut there. The wine ferments with indigenous yeasts, receives no fining, very little filtration and minimal sulfur. Grapes come mainly from vineyards in the Arbois and Côtes du Jura AOC regions. The cellar remains part of current production.
